To
maintain the integrity of our natural products and to keep them fresh,
we use the following liquid preservative system consisting of:
Phenoxyethanol-
an aromatic ether alcohol that is used as a bactericide.
Sorbic Acid-
a natural organic compound used as a preservative that is produced from
the unripe berries of the rowan or “mountain ash” tree (a small tree or
shrub native to the Northern hemisphere). Sorbic acid and its mineral
salts, such as sodium sorbate, potassium sorbate and calcium sorbate,
are antimicrobial agents often used as preservatives in food and drinks
to prevent the growth of mold, yeast and fungi.
Caprylyl Glycol-
which serves as an emollient base.
We
believe that the combination of these ingredients used at the lowest
concentration possible (1%) provides the protection necessary for
preventing the growth of bacteria and yeast, gives our products an
exception feel and keeps them as natural as possible (99%). It is a
safe, effective preservative that is globally approved, non-irritating
and free of parabens, and formaldehyde.
· For
optimum freshness our natural products should be stored in a cool, dry
place and should be kept away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Always keep bottles tightly closed. When stored correctly, our products
should have a shelf life of up to 1.5 years.
·
All of our
products are cruelty free and are handmade in the U.S.A.
· We
use recyclable (PET) bottles for their lightweight and shatter resistant
features. |
