About Us
My
obsession with natural products began when I was home with my two young
children. I wanted to make the type of products that were available at
larger bath and body and candle stores but with a more natural,
environmentally friendly twist. I wanted candles that didn’t leave black
soot in my house and ingredients in my bath & body products that I could
pronounce.
In my two
year quest to get acquainted with natural products, I read many books, took
a few instructional classes, did lots of research and started experimenting
with my own recipes. The best way to experiment and to get feedback was to
make products for my human guinea pigs (whoops) I mean family and friends.
The
response was overwhelming, they liked the products so much that they wanted
more and wanted to know if they could purchase them as gifts. Many of them
suggested that I package & sell the products to local retailers so that
others could experience what they had.
I took
their advice and Peeptoad Hollow was officially formed in early 2002 in
Johnston, Rhode Island. I turned my obsession for natural products into a
great way to earn a living, doing something I believe in that allows me the
flexibility to spend quality time with my children.
Four years later, I feel
confident that I am providing my customers with high quality products made
with only the best ingredients that are available. I feel that my company
can make a difference by offering products that do not contain the harsh
detergents and chemicals that are used by larger companies. My goal is to
create superior products that my customers can confidently use on
themselves and their families.
